Found another weak spot in the frame. I knew my CJ frame was weak because it is not boxed. I did have a plate on the back side to keep the sping hangar from folding over, but it broke right next to the plate, go figure. One of these days, or years, I will need to upgrade to a better frame, but until then. Just keep patching it back to gether. I'm not finished with the patch job, this was to keep it from beaking in half. Attachment:

Yep, I'm guessing from the filters on Airplane. But could've been anywhere else too.

Holy Crap Scott!! Is that what they mean when they say "it's a Jeep thing."? Oh, and you went wheeling! How was Airplane hill??? Getting closer to having it back together so I can join up with you. Good luck with your patch jobs.

It's a Jeep thing because I made it all day with a broken frame and it didn't even slow me down! That's why it's a Jeep! Airplane is bitchin! The filters are a challenge in itself. I didn't try the main hill beacuse even all the locked F/R rigs, I'm open in front, had to be winched over the bottom. There's a hell of a big lip at the start. Great day!

At least it has a frame, always remember the positive. The glass is still half full...

Huh, I have only seen pics and 1 video of that trail. Can't wait to try it out myself. How big is this lip you speak of?

One of the sets of pics I posted show me going over the filter of Airplane and then another red CJ trying the big hill, that's how far he made it. I would think a longer wheelbase rig would have a better advantage getting up it.
